Visual Artist and Designer

Murilo Bispo

Brazilian, born in Bahia (Northeast Region of Brazil). Grew up in Diadema and São Paulo, where lived, studied, and worked until 2020, when moved to the Netherlands.

Murilo has a broad background, including a Bachelor degree in Advertising, a Technical in Visual Communication (Design), and a Sociology specialisation.

While nurtured his art interests as a hobby, over the last 14 years Murilo built a solid career in Digital. He started in Digital Advertising, then changed his path to Experience Design, a field which he spent the last +10 years working for a great range of companies and products. The retail company IKEA was his last employer.

In the current days, Murilo is fully dedicated to experiments with visual art. Mostly, but not only, typographic explorations, intuitive illustrations, stencil and painting with acrylics. Some subjects of interest are: Environment, connection, identity and memory.

Murilo lives and works in Zaandam.
